Celebrating television's This Is Your Life
Maud FAIRMAN (1894-1968)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Maud Fairman, cleaner, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews in the audience at the King's Theatre, Hammersmith.
Maud was born and raised in Primrose Hill, London, and after leaving school, found work in a laundry and later a pub before getting married and setting up a home in Carburton Street in Marylebone with her husband, Harry.
Together they raised a large family while continuing to work, with Maud later finding work as an office cleaner. The tribute celebrates a hard-working but devoted and loving mother and grandmother and reunites her and Harry's large family, as each guest brings a gift to place under the Christmas tree.
