The ornithologist, conservationist, painter, sportsman and broadcaster was surprised by Eamonn at the King's Theatre, Hammersmith.
The only child of Antarctic explorer Robert Scott, Peter founded the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in 1948, and in the following years led several ornithological expeditions worldwide.

In a rare pre-recorded 'pick-up', Eamonn surprised the adventurer and former soldier as he was about to dine at London's Savoy Hotel. At the BBC Television Theatre, on a set suitably dressed as a 'gentleman's study crammed with mementoes from the five continents', Tiger was described as unorthodox and eccentric - 'a soldier-of-fortune and a gentleman-at-arms'.

Eamonn surprised Don, the Salford-born rock climber and mountaineer, who in 1962 carried out the first ascent of the Central Torres del Paine, Patagonia, with fellow climber and future This Is Your Life subject Chris Bonington - who greeted Don in the studio.

Eamonn surprised the record-breaking aviator at Leavesden airfield with the help of presenter Judith Chalmers.
Sheila broke more than 100 world-class records through her long-distance flight endeavours - including flying single-handed around the world three times and notching up the longest solo flight in history.

The mountain climber - who successfully climbed the Eiger and the Matterhorn despite being a double amputee with two prosthetic legs - was surprised by Eamonn at the Sobell sports centre in London's Islington.

Eamonn caught the Army officer turned explorer outside BBC Broadcasting House - revealing the Big Red Book from inside a copy of the London Evening Standard.

The polar explorer, artist and writer was surprised by Eamonn in a West End preview theatre. During the course of his polar career - which spanned more than 50 years - Wally spent 15 years in the wilderness regions of the polar world, and travelled with dog teams and in open boats well over 23,000 miles - more than half of that distance through unexplored areas.

Eamonn surprised the explorer shortly after his return from his three year long Transglobe Expedition, on board the project's back up ship, the Benjamin Bowring.

The Dutch-born musician and entrepreneur, famous for his work on the Lost Gardens of Heligan, was surprised by Michael at another of his initiatives - the Eden Project - an educational visitor attraction in Cornwall consisting of artificial biomes containing plants collected from all around the world.
On Tim's guest list is the model and actress Twiggy.

In the programme's last ever outside broadcast, the mountaineer - having been surprised by Michael at a hotel in Heathrow - was taken to The Rheged Centre in Penrith, Cumbria, where his tribute took place.
Chris' career has included nineteen expeditions to the Himalayas, including four to Mount Everest and the first ascent of the south face of Annapurna.
