Celebrating television's This Is Your Life
Bonnie LANGFORD (1964-)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Bonnie Langford, actress, singer and dancer, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews during the curtain call of the musical Peter Pan at London's Aldwych Theatre.
Bonnie grew up in Surrey and trained at the Arts Educational School and the Italia Conte Academy stage school. At the age of six, she became the youngest winner in the history of the ITV talent show Opportunity Knocks before later appearing as Baby June in a revival of the musical Gypsy in London's West End and on Broadway.
She appeared in the 1976 film Bugsy Malone and on television played Violet Elizabeth Bott in the children's series Just William. On stage, she starred in the musicals Cats, The Pirate of Penzance and 42nd Street, and at the age of only 21, she was described as 'the youngest veteran in the business'.
"They said royalty was in - but I didn't know it was you!"
