THIS IS YOUR LIFE – Michael Baldock, milkman, was surprised by Michael Aspel while delivering milk on his regular round in Epping, Essex.

Michael was born the youngest of 11 children in Walthamstow, London. After leaving school at 15, he worked at a local furniture factory, where he met his future wife. After being made redundant in 1968, Mick joined Hyams Dairies as a milkman on the recommendation of his brother.

Mick - a keen supporter of Arsenal FC and owner of a racing greyhound - was awarded a British Empire Medal in the 1990 Honours List for 22 years of helpful and friendly service to his customers "with unfailing cheerfulness".
