George CUMMINS DCM (1895-1968)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - George Thomas Cummins, Royal Artillery Officer, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews backstage at the BBC Television Theatre.
George served with the Royal Artillery during the First World War. At the end of the war he spent time in Hollywood, California.
On his return to London he became a newsreel cameraman, and in March 1931, he established British Paramount News, a sound newsreel and a subsidiary of the US Paramount company.
