Peter NOONE (1947-)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Peter Noone, singer and actor, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews.
Peter, who was born in Lancashire, studied at the Manchester School of Music, where he won the Outstanding Young Musician Award. At 15, he became lead singer and frontman of the band Herman's Hermits, whose hits included I'm Into Something Good and There's a Kind of Hush. The band sold over 60 million records and had 14 gold singles and seven gold albums.
As Herman, Peter performed on hundreds of television programmes, including The Ed Sullivan Show and appeared with Danny Kaye and Dean Martin on their shows. He starred in ABC's musical version of The Canterville Ghost, played the lead in a production of Pinocchio and starred in three films for MGM.
