THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Terry Marsh, boxer, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews while working at Kingston Fire Station, having been led to believe he was being filmed for the National Benevolent Fund.

Terry was born in Stepney, east London, and was a junior chess champion before beginning his working life in a betting shop. He served with the Royal Marines in Cyprus and Northern Ireland before becoming a firefighter with the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service on White Watch at Tilbury.

Terry was a three-time ABA senior amateur champion before turning professional in 1981. He won the British Light Welterweight title in 1984 and the European Light Welterweight title the year later. In March 1987, he defeated American Joe Manley to win the IBF World Light-Welterweight title.
