Gabrielle DRAKE (1944-)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Gabrielle Drake, actress, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews during a photo call for the play Caught In The Act at the Phoenix Theatre in London.
Gabrielle was born in Lahore, India and grew up in Rangoon, Burma and Bombay, India, before moving, with her family, to England at age 7. She was educated at Wycombe Abbey School and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She began her professional acting career in repertory in Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
She made her television debut in 1970 in the ITV science fiction series UFO and later gained broader recognition in the BBC family drama series The Brothers while continuing her stage career, which included the 1974 West End musical Jeeves. Between 1985 and 1987, she played Nicola Freeman, the boss of the motel, in the ITV soap opera Crossroads.
