Celebrating television's This Is Your Life
Faith BROWN (1944-)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Faith Brown, singer, comedienne and impressionist, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews at the studios of London Weekend Television during rehearsals for a guest appearance on the ITV entertainment show Game For A Laugh.
Faith, who was born in Liverpool, began her show business career as a singer in the 1960s with her four brothers in the vocal group The Carrolls. In 1971, she began working as a solo singer before using her talent for mimicry to develop her comedy impressions.
She appeared regularly on the ITV impressions sketch show Who Do You Do? during the 1970s and in 1980 launched her own ITV series, The Faith Brown Chat Show - the same year she won a TV Times award for 'Funniest Woman on TV'.
