Nina BADEN-SEMPER (1945-)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Nina Baden-Semper, actress, was surprised by Eamonn Andrews while filming a scene for the ITV sitcom Love Thy Neighbour on location in London.
Nina, who was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, moved to the UK to train as a nurse at the Hope Hospital in Salford, where her sister already worked. Having qualified, she spent time at Edgware General Hospital as a midwife before moving to Canada, where she began taking dance lessons.
After returning to the UK, she settled in London with an ambition to become a professional dancer before moving into acting. After appearing in various theatrical productions, she got her break into television in 1972 when she was cast in the ITV sitcom Love Thy Neighbour in a role that made her a household name.
