Celebrating television's This Is Your Life
Jenny SEAGROVE (1957-)
THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Jenny Seagrove, actress, was surprised by Michael Aspel at the offices of producer Bill Kenwright in Little Venice, London while rehearsing the play The Constant Wife.
Jenny, who was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, appeared in the Oscar-winning short film A Shocking Accident in 1983. Her first significant film role was in Local Hero a year later, and in the same year, she got her big break in the lead role of A Woman of Substance, the television dramatisation of the Barbara Taylor Bradford novel.
Her theatre work includes the title role of Jane Eyre at the Chichester Festival Theatre in 1986 and West End roles in The Miracle Worker in 1994 and Hurlyburly in 1997. Her films also include Appointment with Death and The Guardian, while on television, she had a regular role in the BBC drama series Judge John Deed.
