THIS IS YOUR LIFE – Kevin Woodford, chef and television presenter, was surprised by Michael Aspel while filming a scene for the BBC television soap opera Doctors at the Pebble Mill studios in Birmingham.

Kevin, who was born in Douglas, Isle of Man, trained as a chef at the Douglas College of Catering before moving into education as a lecturer in professional cookery, working in Scunthorpe, Nottingham and Scarborough. After gaining a higher degree in Management, he returned to education as Head of Hotel and Catering Studies at Granville College in Sheffield.

After presenting a slot on BBC Radio Sheffield, Kevin made his first television appearances on ITV's This Morning. He later became a regular chef on the BBC's cookery programmes Ready Steady Cook and Can't Cook, Won't Cook. He also presented non-cookery programmes, such as Songs of Praise, The Heaven and Earth Show and Holiday.
